Days Like Leaves on a River by Max Zorn premiered at SCOPE Miami Beach in 2019, a sold out series of 6, one was sold for EUR8000 at Digard Auction. House in Paris.
Max Zorn’s artwork “Days Like Leaves On A River” recently sold for a high markup at an auction house in Paris this month. This was the featured artwork used to advertise Zorn’s solo booth exhibition at SCOPE Miami on South Beach last December during Art Miami Week. There were five handmade in total for the series, all were sold within a week’s time for USD6500.
The auction house in Paris, Digard, was able to put the last of this series in its auction June 23, 2020. We were surprised to see it, and we knew demand for this piece was high. The hammer price ended at EUR8000 (about USD9500), a near 50% markup from the original price.
Congratulations to this hard-working artist that never takes a break and is reaping the benefits with a positive market presence. And to the Max Zorn collectors: invest!
