Congratulations to Max Zorn for tripling results at the latest Tajan auction in Paris, France, this week. The small piece, “Paris Afternoon” installed in a vintage cigar box depicting a nostalgic Parisian scene, turned out to be a huge hit.
“Paris Afternoon” by Max Zorn was exhibited only once at the Stick Together Gallery booth inside the SCOPE Miami art fair during Art Miami Week last December 2019. The busy booth was a solo showcase of all new Max Zorn artwork, and the pieces sold out before the end of the week. “Paris Afternoon” was a series 10 handmade similar originals for USD1500.
Tajan’s Urban Art auction featured works by Invader, Shepard Fairey, SEEN and others, but Max Zorn’s Paris Afternoon received an exiting bidding war as the numbers escalated. from EUR1000 the bidding inched up in increments of 50 and 100 until finally the hammer price sat at EUR3200 (about USD3800). Bids from online, phone and floor were made.
If you are a collector that was lucky enough to receive a Paris Afternoon this year, congratulations on your investment, its value increased 150 percent!
